Meet COUP'd

Burnt out on the overly sugary and concentrated beverage options out there during my sophomore year of college, I had a far-fetched dream of making a mixer line someday. I sat around a table with my girl friends, telling them this idea, not knowing I was planting the seed for what would one day bloom into COUP'd.

A couple of years later, and desperate to come up with a topic for my senior thesis that somewhat piqued my interest, I turned to what I knew best: a good beverage. It was 2022 -- non-alcoholic drinks were on the rise, and I noticed a huge, unfulfilled market for them on my campus.

Post-graduation, I set out to turn my small-batch beverage prototype into a real product for real people, but I wanted it to be more than just another non-alcoholic beverage. I wanted COUP'd to create community and bridge the massive gap I noticed between those who drank alcohol and those who refrained. COUP'd is one product that can serve everyone: students, adults of all ages, the sober and sober-curious, and the cocktail lover.

PUTTING THE "WHOLE FOOD" IN "WHOLE FOODS"

To simultaneously reduce food waste and achieve the naturally bitter bite that apéritifs boast, COUP'd is made with not just whole foods, but the whole food. Combining fresh juices with the typical “discard” of produce (think rinds, piths, peels, and stems) creates each bold, lightly bitter, and juicy flavor.

I partnered with a local manufacturer in Tennessee to bring my beverage dream to life. You can confidently sip COUP'd knowing each bottle contains real, fresh ingredients carefully steeped by real people.

STOP AND SIP THE RIND

When dreaming up COUP’d, my goal was to create a thirst-quenching and approachable non-alcoholic beverage that was a sipper, not a slurper -- a drink just bitter enough to slow life down just a little and help you live in the moment.

Oh, and as far as the name goes... a coupe glass is simply my vessel of choice for any good drink.
